I am just writing to let you know what an extraordinary standard of care I have had as a patient of the Hand and Wrist Unit at UCH. I had a complicated wrist fracture in 2008 and after 5 months of management at another teaching hospital I still had a very reduced range of finction in my right hand. I was advised from many sources to be referred to Mr Elliot Sorene for an opinion. Mr Sorene was professional, kind and communicated really well regarding the medical problems and my options. He operated on my wrist in June and I have had a dramatic increase in hand function and a reduction in all of the pain.
